Murrysville Gun Club is home to the Warrior Rifle Team of Penn Trafford High School. The team has been in existence since 2015 and is comprised of students in nineth – twelfth grade.
Since the start of this team, they have several accomplishments:
- Perfect season 2020
- Two section wins in 2020 and 2023
- Two perfect seasons for Carlee Valenta and Seth Baughman (no points dropped)
- 2nd place Team WPIAL 2023
- 1st place Team State Championship 2023
- 1st place Individual win – Carlee Valenta 2024
- 3rd place Individual State win – Emily Valenta 2024
- 2nd place Individual State win – Emily Valenta 2025

Junior Rifle Team
The Murrysville Junior Rifle program is youth based and geared in teaching kids not only how to safely handle a firearm but also the five fundamentals of shooting: (Aim Control, Hold Control, Breathe Control, Trigger Control and Follow Through). These concepts are then put into place as these individuals are taught how to shoot .22 smallbore 3-position competition, (prone, standing, kneeling).
The program runs on Monday nights from: 6:30 to 8:30 from first Monday in October through the last Monday in March.
All equipment is supplied to the shooters: jacket, sling, glove, gun, etc.
Purchase only: Ammo – All ammo is available for purchase at the club for $5.00 per box.
*we ask that you please purchase your ammo through the club due to a certain velocity required for competition shooting and safe for indoor use.
